We attended a hands-on Redken balayage (BOLLY-ahj) class! The word is French for "to sweep," which is a reference to the way in which the color or lightener is applied. Instead of using foils, a stylist hand-paints the product onto the hair in sweeping motions for a softer, more natural look. This technique is very popular, and the result is gorgeous and very low-maintenance!
