Conditioner should be applied mid-shaft (at ears) to ends where the hair is the most damaged, needing moisture and repair. Vintage

  Pony tails, braids and the latest hologram colors were all the rage on the runways for fall and so were vintage hair styles!  Kate Upton recently posed in a fashion magazine as the late Marilyn Monroe, with lots of pin curls and pretty style. That style is back and here are just a few favorites we saw popping up on Pinterest for brides and everyday style!  

We love these soft waves!  The vintage makeup is beautiful too with a sultry smokey eye and a nude lip, the hair compliments the makeup perfectly! There have been a lot of celebrities walking the red carpets lately with these soft waves, a complete throw back to Veronica Lake!

This vintage updo is a pretty alternative to the modern updos of today.  Kate Winslet wore her hair like this to the Oscars a few years ago and the style is still a classic that when worn with the right dress, with the right accessories, will never go out of style.  

We are obsessed with this bride's vintage, yet whimsical style!  The hair is styled to perfection and the black fascinator headpiece with birdcage veil is to die for! Any of our Bellezza brides willing to try this style for their wedding day?

Our Celebrity Hair Crushes

There are a few celebrities that seem to have the perfect hair style that everyone wants.  We see our clients come in time and time again wanting Jenn Anniston's hair color or Michelle Williams' new hair cut.  Here are just a few of our own celebrity hair crushes at Bellezza Salon.  Who is your favorite? 


1.  Jennifer Aniston 
 Almost every woman at one point or another has either wanted her hair color or one of her hair cuts.  "The Rachel", the bob or her signature straight, long, locks. 

2. Zoey Deschanel

  She has the perfect fringe with her bangs just sweeping at her eyes.  She wears her hair straight or curly, but it always looks perfect.  

3.  Emma Stone 

  Emma can pull off ANY hair color! She was born a blonde, but has been a red head and a brunette and all three colors look great on her! She's probably best known to be a redhead, which is your favorite look on Emma?

4.  Christina Hendricks 

Speaking of redheads, Christina Hendricks of "Mad Men" is the go-to redhead that a lot of clients strive to be.  She is also naturally a blonde, but pulls off the vibrant red so brilliantly that it looks like her natural color! Red does fade the fastest of all the hair colors, so if you're willing to put up with more maintenance, it can also be the most beautiful!  

5.  Mila Kunis 

We love Mila's subtle highlights and long, flowing hair!  She can wear it sleek or wavy for red carpet events. Her long layers keep her hair very versatile, being able to wear it up or down with lots of movement. 

6.  Jessica Simpson

Wedding Season is Here!!

Wedding season is upon us here in Charleston, SC!! Here at Bellezza Salon, we love to have the salon filled with bridal parties getting ready for the big day or going on location and meeting with the bride and her attendants at the venue for hair and makeup applications. 

   If you're recently engaged and planning your wedding, please give us a call to find out more details about how we can help you get ready for the big day!  Ask for our event coordinators, Julie or Catherine and they can help answer any questions you may have.  We have a very detailed bridal contract that makes it easy to sign up for yourself and your bridal party.

 Have you been thinking about hair extensions? 
 When I watch celebrities that have long, gorgeous hair, I instantly have long hair envy! My hair is too fine and flat to wear long, so I keep it short.  I like the idea of extensions, but hate the idea of them possibly damaging my own hair.  

How short is your hair? 
  I recently had owner of Bellezza Salon, Angie Bauer, cut it very short.  The photo shows just how short my hair is now!  It's a fun cut! 


How often do you wear your extensions? 

  I LOVE the Top Secret Hair Accessories that I bought from Bellezza Salon!  They are great because I can clip them in for a special occasion, for fun or if I'm just having a bad hair day!  I can take them out whenever I want without having to be committed to the maintenance that regular extensions need to have. I am thinking about going with another set so that I can have some shorter extensions to put in while I'm growing  my hair out from the pixie cut. 

Do you think they are hard to place?
These extension pieces are so easy! I just clip my natural hair back, snap the hair accessories in and style my hair like normal! It's awesome and SO easy!  If I can do it, anyone can! I love it because even though my friends know I have my extensions in because no one's hair can grow that fast, strangers don't even know it's not my hair!!!
